To Whom it may concern,
HELP! What is my problem? Why do I even have a blog? I really have no business doing anything with a computer. As you can see, I finally figured out how to add a new template. However, I erased ALL of my friends and links. It even told me it was erasing my 'widgets'. Who the heck knows what a widget is anyway? So I just spent the last 2 hours manually entering them in again but is there an easier way to do it??? Can I get them back from my old blog? Is this even something that is stress worthy? I would appreciate some encouraging words please.

I have no computer knowledge whatsoever, but I love your blog's new look! I can't even figure out how to do a slideshow or playlist on mine.
Megan - I was thinking about asking you for help on my blog. You had me fooled - I thought you knew what you were doing! I guess I will have to look elsewhere for advice! Good luck!

I am so sorry about your blog blooper! I know nothing about blogs- which is why mine is the most plain and boring. I did have to chuckle because I noted that everyone now has just the last initial versus the whole last name. Things get cut down when you have to enter them in manually.

I wish I knew how to help you but, let's not forget that it was YOU who set up MY blog.

I'm feeling EXACTLY the same way right now! Let me know if you find out if it's worth it. I'm wondering when (or if) I'm going to devote the time to change my blog from Christmas!
Megan, the SAME THING happened to me a few months ago when I tried to do a backround template and I went into the template section of blogger and just clicked on the old normal basic templates, wait, before that though, I think I had to upgrade my template, which was free, but do whatever they recommend, which is what I did and it all came back. Good luck! Bye the way, I was almost in tears when I saw all of my links and friends erased!
ha, ha, it took me a few hours to figure it out, but you just have to go through the html code and copy and paste your 'widgets' into the right section of your new templates html. Sound confusing? It is... Since you've already deleted them, I don't think there is a way to get them back; but in the future I can help you so you don't delete them again! Good luck!
Oh my gosh, I so feel your pain right now. All I ask for is a cute blog and an easy instruction manual, but no it's not that easy when you know nothing about computers.
I earased all of my names twice!! I was so pissed and was about to throw in the towel on the whole blog thing, but couldn't do it.
I know that when you are changing your background it asks you if you want to download your old one so you can go back to it. I didn't do it the first time and paid the price.

Hey Megan, I did the same thing twice. Lost all my links and friends blogs. I really want to change my blog but don't know how without deleting everything. It is frustrating. good luck.

YOUR BLOG LOOKS SUPER CUTE! I TRIED TO CHANGE MINE THE OTHER DAY SINCE IT HAS BEEN THE SAME FOR OVER A YEAR. I ENDED UP WITH THE SAME TEMPLATE NOT BECAUSE I LOVE IT... BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE HAD TO CHANGE EVERYTHING AROUND AND I AM LAZY! MISS YA!

Ummm.... I think this is just a sneaky way of slipping me off of the "blog friends" list forever. Where in the heck did Amanda c. go anyway. Cumon meg-a-leg we've been pals since the 5th grade (well maybe 6th) You can't just throw all those good times out the window now? As of technical help I always call up Melissa Holloway... Let me just tell you that on Friday night I did the exact same thing!!! I was thinking "what the heck is a widget? and I lost everything as well and had to re-enter it all and now I'm back to a boring old blog. I'm sorry. I might just pay someone 10 bucks to give me a new template and do it right!
Now I want to be orange too. You are a TRUE orange and a good mix of yellow. Do they have a color for a wha wha when shopping with me and Rach?? Kidding..kidding!
