let's eat!

Okay, so most of you know I'm in no way a weight watcher. My closest friends are fond of the memory of me eating not 1 but 2 whoppers at one meal back in high school. Maybe these shocking statistics won't be that shocking to you because you already have an idea of what fat grams are in what food? However, I just came across a few of funny fat finds that I thought were interesting.

First...your Costco Hot Dog. You can't beat $1.50 for dinner with a drink. After my pregnancy, I might think twice. Can you believe that this is 34 grams of fat?
Next. So you thought you were making a healthier choice by choosing the Costco Turkey Wrap instead of the hot dog. Oh no my friends. This beauty is a whopping 38 grams of fat. Your best bet is the Pizza Slice for 28 g's.
On to another. I thought this one was funny. I love me a good dip for whatever I'm eating. I've recently become a fan of the Chick-fil-a Sauce. One container folks, contains 14 grams of fat! Just for dip? Ugh. Go for the Buffalo Sauce. I think it tastes better if you like a little spice and it's only 1.5 g's.

My absolute fav restaurant is Oregano's (in AZ). There are so many things on the menu that I can't resist. One of my staples is the Pablo Picasso Chicken Salad. It really is the best salad hands down. Are you ready for the count ladies? 81 Grams!!!! In my defense...the salad is pretty much impossible to eat alone. You could probably share it with 3 people but still. Crazy right? Oh well...this one is worth every bite and I'm not willing to give it up.
And finally. The Cheesecake that I just devoured 2 nights ago. It's the Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple Cheesecake. Sounds appetizing right? Well one slice is.....59 grams of fat!!!!! Seriously? WOW. I don't have an alternative for this one so just enjoy it!
Like I said, I am SO not a healthy food preacher but I just thought you might find this some good reading material!

I know, when I looked up that Chick Fil A sauce last week, it was a sad sad day. I do LOVE the buffalo though, that was my first favorite. And really, you can't beat $1.50 for a hot dog and drink. You just can't!

Okay, so I was aware of the fat grams total for all but the salad. I will still order the full size and eat it alone. this was a really good post. Kim will die when she notices the turkey wrap total..oops!

It really is amazing how many fat grams are in the food at restaurants. Kinda makes me gag. But it won't stop me from eating the picasso salad or cheesecake! Have you checked out the fat grams of Chili's food? Sick.

Uh, I like my friend who downs the whoppers better! ;) And I think I'll continue to live in ignorance/denial and keep up the pound a week weight gain I am doing so great at!!

Ok so I've never had the Picasso salad, but I cannot imagine what they could possibly put in it to make it that fattening!! Is it the dressing? Salad is supposed to be guilt free for heavens sake.
