faith is real, miracles happen, and prayer works!
this week has been rather eventful. as my niece continues to recover in the hospital, we are smiling. smiling because that is what she is doing....recovering! it might be baby steps...but they are steps in the right direction. she is one tough girl who has fought her way to where she is now. while we certainly aren't 100% out of the woods, we at least have found the path!
i'd like to thank those who have been so kind in thinking of us, praying, and letting us know that you care. our whole family has felt your love. if you have any more left in you, we'll take them as these next couple of days are crucial!
the following is a small part of an email my brother sent out last night...
"Although we have been using this word for a couple of days now, the doctor in our conversation today said that her recovery has been "miraculous." We smiled and nodded. We know that many of you have been in the temple over the last few days. Many of you have fasted and many have prayed. We have seen the priesthood in action. Miracle? Absolutely! We believe in miracles! We know that this is the hand of the Lord and the will of the Lord. Your faith and petitions to him have made this happen. We are indebted to Him and eternally grateful for each of you. Your love, kindness and prayers have blown us away."
i always have and always will continue to admire my brother and his family's example to me. their faith and righteousness is amazing.
this experience has given our whole family an opportunity to become closer and for that i am grateful. we have so much to be grateful for today!
