My brother Russ came to town over the weekend so we decided to hit up Knott's Berry Farm.
The following picture makes me laugh really hard. Height requirements on rides are a funny thing. Some are fair, some are not, and some are just plain CRAZY. We all decided to go on the log ride. Just your average flume. Nothing too special. One big drop and a few small ones. I had taken Collin on this ride when she was about 18 months old so I knew that the height requirement wasn't too strict. I decided to try my luck this time with Blake. I walked up to the ride with Blake in the Bjorn. I asked if I could hold her on the ride. The worker replied with a serious, "sure, as long as you take her out of the carrier and she sits on the seat." On the seat? Seriously? So my question is, are they the crazy ones who believe that a 6 week old sitting on a seat is safer than a 6 week old strapped to my body? or am I the crazy one who jumped right on that ride with my 6 week old in my lap?
Why is it that kids can't get enough of Carousel rides?

They are crazy! So much safer to put her in the baby bjorn. Height requirements are lame. I don't get why Salvador can go on matterhorn but is too little to ride soaring over california. Please explain that one!
Maybe I want to take Samuel on Matterhorn, so I can ride with Salvador. Now that is a bad mom. Unfortunately, Disneyland is too strict!
a) Love the long luscious locks
b) Reminds me of the time I tried to sneak my 1-year-old on the Matterhorn
c) Love Collin all by herself on that ride.
Miss you.
Oh crap, that was me. Sorry! :)
Yea I don't get it either. Porter was tall enough to go on that balloon/parachute ride (at California Adventure) and then they told him he couldn't because had to be 7 years old. What the? Anyways, not a bad mom at all. Glad you guys had fun!!
Those are some great Knott's photos...I love all the action shots...but we're missing from them :( That really makes me laugh that they had you put Blake on the seat...typical Knott's huh?! You are looking phenomenal by the way!
love all the pics and updates. WE miss you guys. WE can't wait to meet Blake hopefully we will see you soon.
one word...traitor! Just kidding...I know you can NEVER give up Disney!!! Everyone needs to experience Knott's at least once.
Looks like you had fun!(But I think I hear Mickey calling your name)
let's just say i am not letting lyndi read your blog. it will confirm her suspicions her mom boring and strict and "blake's mom let's her do whatever she wants!" now i know what she was smiling about in your text. that last pic is so cute.
Am I a bad mom for making Logan sit quietly on my lap while I look at blogs? He is dying over Collin in the car....very jealous!
I wish someone would've gotten a pic of your whole fam on the log ride. With Blake sitting like a big girl on the seat. Why didn't I think of that? You gotta admit that was probably your funnest day at KBF ever. Right? haha I'm gonna do my post soon. Wish I had pics of :D or :O but especially :I
P.S. I just saw your label "Please don't call CPS on me". Hilarious!
I think I'm sensing a Disney Land snob. Can you get the best chicken dinner @ disney land? I think NOT!! You look so cute & I can't get enough of Collin.
Ooo yeah. We are pretty loyal Knotts Berry/Scary farm goers so I am proud you broke away from Disney for one day!
Megan, I always check out your blog, you're hilareous just like I rememeber from HS. Funny fact: you were the first person to pluck my eyebrows and it was before a vb game. Don't ask why I remember that. But our kids are about the same age so it'll be fun to see your little one progress. If you want to see my blog, email me and I'll send you an invite. carajnelson@gmail.com
