and they lived, happily ever after~part 3

Wedding Highlights:
Photobucket
I think I could find quite a few pictures of my little male model making this face. Why? Photobucket

I could not kiss him in front of the camera without laughing. It was bad. I was like a 12 year old.

I really just wish I could remember what either of us were thinking during this ultra cheesy picture.

~We were wed on April 25, 2003. According to Cheryl from Rhode Island on Miss Congeniality, "I would have to say April 25th {is the perfect day}. Because it's not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket." I'd have to agree.
~The night before the wedding was spent with family and friends. My favorite part was going with the girls to Applebees for Nachos and then ambushing Matthew's late night wiffle ball tournament with water balloons.
~I forgot to buy Matthew a wedding ring so the week of the wedding he went to this nasty store called 'shirts & things' where he purchased his $12.99 silver band...which he will not let me replace!
~The Mesa Temple is where it all went down. The ceremony was performed by my Great Uncle Charles, which was pretty special.
~Matthew was not a fan of our photographer. I think he might have had a crush on Matthew?
~There was a darling girl at our wedding wearing a really cute skirt. I told her how much I loved it, and her being the nicest girl that she is, told me she'd look for one for me when she got back to California. Little did I know that this girl would soon become one of my favorite friends 7 years later.
~Matthew forgot/threw in the trash, a very important document that was required for the marriage to happen. Good thing it wasn't trash day and we found it...after the ceremony.
~Our first night as a married couple was spent at the Orange Tree Resort in Scottsdale. It's pretty random that we stayed there if you ask me.
~Around maybe midnight of our wedding night, Matthew asked if I wanted to go get ice cream...and I chose to stay at the hotel and fall asleep instead. Whoops!
~Our fun friend/DJ made us a cd of some of our favorite wedding songs. The morning after the wedding when we were listening to it, I said, "this would have been a really good song for our first dance!" Disgusted, my new husband replied, "it IS the first song we danced to!" Whoops again!!
~We had an early flight to San Diego the next morning. Upon arrival to our airport gate, we realized that Matthew forgot the key to the condo we were staying in...in the glove box...in long term parking. Thankfully, being the cute honeymooners that we were, the kind airline employees were so wonderful to get us on the next flight out of town.

There are a million more fun memories of this eventful time. Some are too special to share. Some are too embarrassing to share. I'm so happy that my 'love story' took me to where I am now. It's a fantastic feeling to share 2 states of residency, 6 different houses, 2 cutest girls, and {almost} 7 happy years with my favorite guy.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Your friend sarah is crying and I'm laughing. What's wrong here?
Cute part 3. Matthy looks like such a teenager in your wedding pics. A handsome teenager at that and he has grown into the most handsome man. No, I'm not hitting on Matthew. This isn't one of my uncomfortable jokes.
And my little meggie deggie..you have always been such a doll face. the prettiest and silliest gal.
loved that you forgot to buy a wedding band, huh?
and forgot the wedding dance song, i would totally do the same had i danced at my wedding.
you and matthew really are the greatest match. love you both.
