i'd NEVER do THAT

I once said, "I don't understand why people 'baby-proof' their homes. I would never do that because it would make my house ugly"...until I had Blake.

Another time I said, "I don't understand how people don't get their babies on schedules. It is easy to just put them down for naps and bedtime at the same time every day."...until I had Blake.

I never understood how babies would take off their diapers and always put their hands 'down there'...until I had Blake.

I always thought it was easy to just feed your kids any baby food suggested by the doctor and they would have no problem eating it all...until I had Blake.

I never understood when I heard about 'that kid' who got into the toilet and played in the water...until I had Blake.

A friend once told me that she couldn't wait for me to loose my patience with Collin (because she had lost patience with her kids). That probably didn't happen often...until I had Blake.

I never knew baths could be so messy...until I had Blake.

I thought taking kids out to a restaurant was never that hard...until I had Blake.

I've never...
seen a faster crawl
heard a cuter laugh
tugged a stronger tug
wished for time to stand still
prayed so hard for her to be comfortable
witnessed a special sister bond
loved like this
or felt this loved
...until I had Blake.

Happy 10 months to Blake. She just took 21 steps the other night (per her daddy's note taking). Boy are we in for fun!

I know that I wished this upon you. Collin was just "too easy"! But life just needs a little excitement doesn't it? I miss you guys and can't believe Blake is walking! Can we please get together soon so I can see her in action? Thank you.

Isn't she just an active, curious, busy little thing! haha... always got a kick out of the sayings people would say when what they meant was, your kids a pill and won't sit still. I love her face! So glad you had a fun visit home! Enjoy the fun!!
