Easter 2012 was just lovely. We had no plans. Just some cute dresses.
Church was wonderful. I left with a happy heart.
We were invited to our adopted parent's house for dinner and as always, it was great.
I tried to down-play the Easter Bunny this year because I kind of don't get it? I understand why we have Santa, the "whole season of giving"...but a bunny? I can't wrap my head around it. I'm not going to tell my kids he doesn't exist, I think I'm just going to have a very low key bunny around our house. At least that's what worked for us this year.

I sure am grateful for my little family. These girls make me the happiest mom. I love the third picture of Blake looking to see how Collin was standing. She looks up to her so much. Collin is the best example for Blake. She always makes such good choices and loves making Blake happy.
What a blessing it is to have 2 daughters.
We are all excited to have a baby boy mix things up around here!

I love everything about their outfits - the dresses, the necklaces, the shoes...They are the cutest little girls that look nothing like each other! I agree with what you said about the Easter Bunny. Russ tried to bring up the real meaning of Easter on Sunday morning and the kids weren't that interested - so sad! I think next year we're gonna have the Easter Bunny come Friday night instead of Saturday night.
LOVE those cute dresses. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.
Megan, I love everything you said in this post. You "get it"!!
Oh Megan they are so dreamy in those dresses! I begged and pleaded for Sadie to let me buy that dress but she had nothing to do with it. She's as stubborn as they come.
I totally agree with you on the Bunny. But I just don't have the heart to tell them. Brody is 8 and still believes...next year for sure.
They are so cute!!!
Oh my, the girls and their dresses are amazingly beautiful. Interesting that Edie was working on the true meaning of Easter this year also and definitely downplaying the so called bunny. When we were young we never had a bunny...just a bit of candy from our parents and no gifts.
Love those dresses, and those darling girls! I sure wish I could say some of those nice things about my own girls. I'm sure one day. Until then, I'll live vicariously through yours :)
I'm so happy you're so happy, and loved every word of this post. Thank you.
