trust

When I look at these pictures TRUST comes to mind. As my sweet baby grows and develops, she knows and trusts very few people. The two most important people in her life right now are her parents. She relies on us for everything. She puts 100% of her trust in us. She knows that her Heavenly Father sent her here to a family that He trusted would do their best to take care of her.

Tomorrow my sweet girl will have another small operation. I feel like the last time we did this, I was scared, anxious, and nervous. Today, as I experience some of those same feelings, I also feel peace. Our doctor is someone who we trust to take care of our baby as he corrects the things that need to be corrected. We trust that our nurses will make her as comfortable as she can be as she recovers. We trust our dear friends who have been so helpful and willing to offer to take Collin and make her happy and comfortable while her family is away. Most importantly, we trust our Heavenly Father who has trusted us with His child. Through Him, we feel the peace and comfort that we need as we find strength to get through these next few days.
"There is perhaps nothing more delightful than the sound of a little child’s laugh, nothing more earnest than a little child’s inquiry for knowledge, nothing more genuine than a little child’s hug, nothing more pure than a little child’s love, and nothing more sacred than a little child’s trust."
